Part 21: The Hug...

 

Arnav buys this house after his wife’s death…and thanks to this house, he felt better…

Getting away from the family…from the work and from everything…he’s feeling free here…

He comes often with Lily spending the day here…and forgetting the fact he lost his love forever…

He puts all the photos and his dead wife’s books in one room here…a room he wasn’t able to enter after…but he knows that all the beautiful memories were there and he couldn’t neither enter nor let anyone to touch that room…but he was keeping it for the sake of Lily…he knows that when she will grow up she will ask about her mum…about the past…

Now…coming in the garden after lunch…he starts working on the plants…

He was at first thinking only about khushi and the way she cried again before him…he thought a long time about why he feeds her that way and he forgets to eat in the processes…

Yes…he doesn’t eat…all because he was feeding her…and he was angry at the fact that he couldn’t bear her sad or crying…or look at her red eyes…

why is he changing so fast with her???

He felt a presence and turns to find Lily holding a plate with a cheese sandwich for him…

-Paa….maa told you: you eat this!

Arnav keeps looking at her… surprised he was really hungry…how khushi comes to know that?…why his heart is beating, that way? knowing that she sends that for him...

Lily holding the plate, waiting for him cutely…he smirks…

He holds the plate and starts eating…:

-thank you!

-welcome...paa! 

She said giving her cute smile:

-eat well my paa!

-you’re the most beautiful girl on this planet!

He said and turns to see; khushi peeping from the French window…she noticed he was looking at her and she acts like she was calling Lily :

-lily! You want to come…

He smirks…everything she’s feeling was writing in her face…and now, obviously, she was confused he discover her, stealing glances at him…

Arnav’s heart was day by day melting…and he’s feeling that change on him…because of her...

He can be angry about that…but can he change that?

He can’t!

Because…simply…he won’t…

Hearing they are watching cartoon in living room…he left the garden and wash his hands…

He starts working with his laptop in the sofa besides their sofa…

Khushi was sitting while Lily was putting her head above her lap…

He looks at them…

Again he felt like leaving all the work and just staring at them…

They have a way…to look at him with same innocent eyes…and then back to their cartoon…

Lily starts smiling and then starts giggling…

He loved that…hearing her giggling… but why khushi was all silent and thinking something…

When the night comes…

Arnav is still working in his laptop…

Khushi and lily are in the kitchen…

Khushi arranging the kitchen a little and telling a story to Lily who is now coloring in her coloring books and listening same time…

Lily:-Maa, …and then she ate the apple?

Suddenly the electricity gone…

Lily scared :-Maa…Maa…(she shouts)

Khushi all scared…in the dark…she doesn’t know what to do…she’s also afraid but she could walk to lily and she lifts her in her arms and hugs her so tightly…

-yes…my baby, maa is here…I’m here…See! I’m here…

But Khushi was all shivering…so scared of that dark…and Lily same…

Both stuck to each other more…terrorized…

-paa…paa…will come…paa…

-Arnavji!

Khushi also shouts while she’s shivering….

That’s when…

Yes…

He appeared…he knows how much Lily scared of that…whenever that happen…he runs automatically to her …here such things happened for awhile…and then the light will be back, soon…

-I’m coming! Here I’m!

Arnav comes towards the corner they are standing, the light of his phone helping…

He comes and stands beside them…

The light of the phone wasn’t enough…but he could see how much they are stuck to each other cutely… cheek to cheek…

But Khushi still all breathing heavily, tears are wetting her cheeks while Lily was now calm…and feeling her mum’s tears:

Lily:-maa…my maa…me here…paa here, now…

Lily hugged kushi more…she’s feeling her maa all scared still…

Arnav has to do something…he noticed that also…

-you don’t have to be afraid…it’s a problem in electricity…will be fixed soon…it happens…

Khushi wipes her tears…

Yes…she’s so afraid of darkness…she can’t handle the dark like that…

Now…Lily is becoming all worried to feel her maa’s tears…the tears of khushi were dropping on her face…Lily felt it…

-maa…maa is crying paa…

All troubled her eyes start to be teary also…

Arnav doesn’t know how to behave…

What to do…

He wants to do something to calm those two but how…

He thought that being with two sensible girls all afraid of darkness like that was really hard …he can’t look at that without doing anything…

-Now I’m here…why you both are crying now? Come with me!

Arnav said firmly…

-No!

Khushi shouted all shivering…

-No! I’m really scared! I can’t move in the dark!

He leaned to lift lily in his arms and then without thinking too much, he holds Khushi’s hand strongly in his protective hand…

Arnav:-But I’m here!

He said assuring her…

They walk together to the nearest room…the guest room…

He could feel her cold hand…how she is all the way catching also the fabric of his shirt with her other hand…walking slowly…

Arnav enters with them to the room…

-you goanna stay here! I’m goanna find surely some candles!

-no!

She shouts again and that time he felt her whole body hugging him and lily same time… 

first time she hugs him that way....

…he was feeling her entire body shivering against his…her arm was hugging lily too and her other hand clutching his shirt from the back… while she hides her face right in his chest…that was…

it affected him...the way she hugged him with that intensity...

Arnav without even thinking hugs her back with his free hand…while the other still lifting his daughter…

Princesses on distress …!!!!

but why he’s feeling he’s happy man like that! And he’s wishing that light will never come back…same time…he wanted them to not be afraid but…he’s enjoying that hug same time…

How he can get another hug like that in the future? he doesn't know...so, for now, he wishes to that to last an eternity...

Both need him badly now…

He felt them breathing against his chest and shoulder…they are calm now because he’s here…

Being a man…he liked that feeling too much…

A man liked always to be confident…by feeling the women in his life needing him that much…

He tries to move but Khushi was holding  him the more…

-Mostly the cut of electricity doesn’t last so much but here…don’t know what is happening, if you want to the light to come back, at least let me go and fix it!

“No” both Khushi and Lily shout!

Hugging him tightly…

Lily with a lazy voice:

-paa…you keep hold me…maa you keep hug me…I’m afraid…monthter (monster) can come!

-ok! My angel! No one can come!

He can feel his shirt is wet…khushi was crying…

He can’t say anything but with his hand holding her…he tightened the embrace more…

She felt his breath in between her hair…

More close than that she will faint…

Noting separates them but clothes…

And she’s fully into him…like her life depends in that hug…

First she still crying against his chest…but she stopped feeling his protective hand holding her waist the more…melting her against him…

No one hugs her that way before…

Her face sweating now because she was breathing in the hook of his chest…even if it was hard to breath like that…it was ok…she's protected...so protected there...

Without exchanging any words…

He calm them…he makes them understand that he’s here…

he's here...for them only...

Suddenly, the light is on again…

But no one from his princesses move away from the hug…

They were closing their eyes tight…

-lily?

-thtay paa! (stay, paa!)

-the light is on again now, angel!  

Lily opens her eyes gradually…

Khushi opened but wasn’t sure what to do next…how to face him, next?

-khushi?

He said huskily…

Oh no! no! how to face him now?

-maa! Again! Light is on! No fear!

Khushi gradually looks up at Arnav…

And their eyes met…

Rabba ve…

How she can manage to be that much irresistible for him???!!

His hand still holding with same power her waist…

And now both her hands were on his chest…

She tried to pull back, away from him…but she couldn’t …

He doesn’t want to let go off her…no…

That was more awkward than this morning…

His hand turning her waist with so much power…

-you’re ok?

he asked...concerned...

She’s surprised…no! she’s shocked…she's not ok...she's...not ok...

She nodded her head positively…thinking he would let off her but no…not at all…

They forget about Lily…

Arnav was lost in other world…

Khushi was thinking how to escape all this situation…

Lily was just…looking at any reaction…but when they ignore her totally:

-what happen?

She asks with her soft childish voice…

Arnav clears her thorax:

-nothing...angel, nothing!

He looks at his daughter…

She looks at him with questioning eyes cutely…

-paa…I think maa is more thcared (scared) than me from dark, right?

Arnav retains a smile…she was right…

Khushi looks at them:

-I’m not! I’m just…I’m scared only from darkness!

-me, I’m thtrong (strong) paa!

-I know my baby!

Khushi pouted…looking down...

Arnav noticed that and he was amused…he has the confirmation about who was more childish than the other and the winner was khushi today…
