Chapter 16:

In trouble...

 

Arnav didn’t touch at what Khushi prepares…

He starts sipping his black coffee silently…

No one has noticed him, all were eating…but Khushi noticed it…

She felts hurt …

She looks at Lily…and she starts helping her to eat…

His plate was untouchable…

And he stands up…

-I should go to office!

Anjeli:-what?

Nani:-chotte! Not today!

Khushi keeps silent…and continues feeding Lily…she doesn’t want to say anything…any way, she doesn’t have anything to say…

Nani:-chotte! Today is a special day! This is your first day with your new wedded wife, so please, stay and have your breakfast and still there are more rituals to complete!

-Nani, please, enough of rituals! I can’t anymore!

Nani noticed that her chote is angry and there is no way to argue with him…

-ok! Ok dear! No more but today, we stay in family and Akash is here too!

Arnav nodded and then he sits back…

Khushi felt uncomfortable with that…she understands he’s now avoiding her presence…

She faked a smile to all and excuses herself to go to her Buaji…

With her Buaji…she feels safe…but she has also to act like she’s the happiest woman in the whole world before her…

Of course…little Lily couldn’t spend a minute without her mumma…it was holiday for the two of them...so ...no school for few days...

She comes searching for her…

Lily loves Buaji also so much…

Even if she hasn’t the chance to know her more as Buaji is always resting…Lily loves her…she knows that her mumma loves Buaji so she …Little Lily also loves Buaji…

Lily:-you get well thoon Buaji to play with me!

Khushi smiles, she hugs her…she kissed her cheek…

Kh:-see Buaji…see how lovely is my Lily…

Buaji smiles and nodded:

-she’s so so lovely, God bless you both…

Khushi smiles excited and kissed Lily again…

And then she kisses her Buaji on her forehead and looks at Lily…

Kh:-want me to give you bath?

Lily nodded all happily…

What her mum does was always good and perfect for her…

Lily’s room:

After Lily’s bath…Khushi sits and makes Lily sit before her to take care of her hair…

She wipes it lovingly with the towel and then starts brushing it softly…

After she finished, Lily hugged her tightly…

But Khushi doesn’t hug her back…she was all lost in her thoughts about what she does to that he’s behaving like that…

Lily pouted her pink lips…

Khushi still lost…

Lily comes to her…she cupped Khushi’s face between her tiny hands…

-you’re upthet (upset) from me, na???

That’s when Khushi wakes up from her thoughts and looks at Lily worried face…when Lily doesn’t get any answer, Lily getting more worried to see Khushi worried:

-Maa now that you’re here…don’t go! Don’t go away from me…

-but…my baby…I’m here with you!...why you’re thinking about that?

-Maa… don’t go away from me ever never…please maa

Khushi can’t bear her baby saying that to her…

-my Lily! My Little baby! I will be always here for you! Always here…

Both hug each other…

Lily looks at her maa with amazed look…now…

She loves her maa…

Her maa is most beautiful and soft maa ever…she will not go away from her…she will never let that to happen…

Both come down again…

Nani seeing them smiles to them…

Anjeli was holding Baby Aryan also and Khushi could hold him also…

Khushi sits with Aryan in her hands holding him…

Anjeli gives him to Khushi to that she can prepare milk for him…

Khushi holds Aryan delicately…

Kh:-hello baby…hello…it’s me…

Lily:-she’s my maa

Khushi looks at Lily who seems to feel some jealousy seeing Khushi’s attention on only little Aryan now…

Khushi noticed it…

-oh yes! yes! Aryan baby! I’m only Lily’s mother! Only her is my baby, haaa? Ok?

Aryan looking that Khushi was looking and talking to him…he starts moving a little, making some little sounds…that Khushi took like an answer…

-oh! yes…yes…little Aryan…yes…you understand, right?

Khushi said that and looks at Lily…

Lily smiles to her…satisfied that her mum said that to little Aryan…yes! she’s only her maa…

Again...Khushi thought about him...

She couldn’t see him…she decided to call him Arnavji…she’s not able to say Arnav like that…she looks here and there with her eyes…to maybe she could find him but no…he is nowhere to be seen…

She is now all amused with Nani, Anjeli, Aryan and her angel Lily…spending a good time with them but why her heart is hurting her because of the fact he’s behaving like that…

After all…yesterday also, she behaves all rudely and she slept like that in all the bed…maybe he’s hurt for that??? But he said to her…he said: you take the bed I take the couch…

Anjeli:-Khushiji? Khushiji? Are you listening? Time to lunch!

Khushi wakes up from her thoughts and looks at Anjeli:

-oh yes! I’m…but I think I’m not hungry!

-what? You too you didn’t feel well? ...because even chote he’s resting in his room and he asked us to not disturb him, he wanted to sleep a little…(Anjeli gives a naughty smile) thought he didn’t slept yesterday…am I right?

Khushi stands up to avoid this kind of discussion:

kh:-well …I’m goanna with Lily help HP in serving the lunch…

Khushi and Lily disappear from there…

Khushi spends the entire day with family…

And of course he spends the day in his room till when it was time for dinner…

Nani asks her to go and see him if he wants dinner as he doesn’t eat for the whole day…

Khushi takes Lily with her…

She was scared of his rudeness…

What if she asks him to come take his dinner and he rejects her or shouts on her???…she will then react and acts as rude as he’s acting with her!

Holding Lily’s hand…she knocks and enter the bedroom…

Arnav was lying in bed…

Khushi hesitates….

Lily pushed her to walk:

-come maa! We will wake my paa up!

Khushi and Lily thought he’s just sleeping…

But…

When Lily takes off a little the blanket from her paa…

He was all sweating and shivering…

Seeing him…both Lily and Khushi gasped…

Lily:-Paa…

Khushi immediately puts her hand in his forehead…he was burning…

Kh:-he has fever!

Lily:-fever…my paa…

All worried…

Kh:-Lily! Go fast and call Naniji or Anjeliji my Lily!

Lily runs from there…         

Khushi takes a towel to wipe his face…

She was all worried …to see him like that…

She checks his forehead again…

His eyes are half closed…but he couldn't said anything...all weak...

Nani and Anjeli and Akash and shyam come to the room running…

Akash calls the doctor and all are worried…

The doctor comes….he checks him and gives him an injection…

The doctor:-Not even he’s a diabetic patient and in the whole day seems that he doesn’t eat anything…but also he has fever, now and his body is so weak! Here the prescription! I gave him already an injection, he will be ok but someone should take care of him for this night! He will maybe have fever all the night! He should be under control! make him fast eat something now!

All were in room now…

Nani:-what a family we are! We are listening to his orders like blind people! He said don’t disturb, we don’t! And look what happen!

Anjeli comes with a soup and tried to feed him but she succeeded to give him only two spoons…

-please…please chote! have this one also…please…

Lily comes beside him…

-yeah Paa…you eat…my paa…

Arnav: -baby…stay away…I have fever…don’t come close!...you all don’t come close…

He said difficultly…

Anjeli:-oh really? You’re dreaming here! Khushiji come please and make him eat this!...you’re his wife, he will may  be accept to have this if you feed him!

Khushi stands there in her place only…confused like never…she doesn’t move…

Anjeli:-oh!…come and try!

Lily looks at her with begging eyes…and so Nani looks…

Innocent they are all…by thinking that he would accept if she feed him…

She comes closer…

Took the plate from Anjeli…

All shivering…she doesn’t know why…

-And yes Khushiji! Please help him  change his clothes…they are all wet due to the sweat…I’m afraid if his state gets worst with that!

Anjeli gets a towel and starts wiping his face and neck…while Khushi was now all troubled and confused and she doesn’t know what to do…

Ar:-it’s ok di! I’m fine now!...I’m…

Anjeli:-enough now! I can’t accept this behavior! You always do what you want, now, enough!

Anjeli walks towards his closet…she comes with his clothes…

Troubled Khushi holds the spoon full of soup to his mouth…

She looks straight on his eyes with her big teary eyes…yes…

Seeing him like that…and knowing that he’s a diabetic person affected her…the words of the doctor make her realize how much she’s stupid thinking all about her and not once she asked herself if he ate something…

Seeing all the sadness on her eyes…she’s all worried…

He opened his mouth…to took the soup…

he ate from her hand three more spoons of soup...

Lily clapped…:

-yeah paa…you’re thtrong (strong) paa!

He couldn’t react…he’s feeling so weak…he closes his eyes again:

-enough like this…

He murmurs…

Anjeli comes and  took the plate from Khushi’s hands and poses it in the desk…

She gives her his clothes…

Anj:-he needs to change Khushiji…

And they all leave…leaving her alone with him…even Lily left like that with Nani...and all of them...

She has his clothes between her hands and she looked down at them…

Ar:-let it be…I’m goanna change myself…

Arnav was like a drunken man due to weakness and fever…

He wasn’t able to move one hand…

He closes his eyes…

That’s when she comes to him…

Approaching him…

She starts unbuttoning his shirt’s buttons…

She learns all her courage and her force to do this…

Once his shirt is opened…

She hesitates…

And then, determinate…

She tries to take it off but couldn’t…

He’s so much heavy for her…

She tries to lift him a little to take it off and for this….she approaches more from him…puts his arm on her shoulder and like that…like she was hugging him…she took off his shirt…

He was wearing a vest under it…

She touches it and it was also wet…

Still like hugging him…she fights to undress him completely…

her fingers touch his bare skin and she doesn't notice that...giving all her force to take his vest off and he's also so weak...giving up all to her...

She was about to lay him again in bed but to her surprise…he hugged her tightly…no...it was the weight of his body all on her shoulders...

He wasn’t conscious…he is speaking some words but he let go off her all weak…

 Tired, she let off him delicately on the bed…all red…all shy…

God!

It was the first time…she saw an almost naked man like that and he unconsciously hugged her…and he’s…so…handsome…

But within a minute, she stops thinking like a stupid girl!

Ar:-no…I’m ok…no use…I will do it…

He was shivering…she covered his bare chest with the towel…

Kh:-it’s ok! Please! Don’t talk! You’re all weak!

Khushi wasn’t scared any more…she was helping him…she felt now that she hasn’t to think about anything but took his clothes off, wipes his body and makes him wear other clothes…

She’s determinate to do that seeing his state…

When she’s done wiping his chest…she wipes his chest, closing her eyes…and then she makes him wear a new warm t-shirt…

She takes a deep breath…

God will not punish her for this…he’s her husband after all…

She looks at him…he seems he’s sleeping also…he falls asleep easily due to injection and weakness…but no, he’s only closing his eyes…

She heard a weak “please…I will do it myself” from his side…

She looks at him…

Kh:-you don’t worry! It’s done, I changed your shirt…

-mmm...I feel cold...I feel so cold....

Khushi covered him with another blanket...

she's more and more worried...for his state...

she doesn't know what to do...

she took his hand under the blanket and rubbed it in between her warm hands...

kh:-the injection will act soon and you will feel better...you will feel better...

she doesn't know what she has for him to feel that much worried for him...and to feel that much hurt and to feel that much scared and to feel that much affected...for him...

now, he's all weak...and she's wishing he gets better...even to behave rudely with her...she doesn't care...the important is that he gets better...
