Chapter 24:

Note: I know the story is going maybe slowly...and you want them to just love each other but...love is complicated, friends...I can't make them just love each other in all ways and they are just newly wedded in some awkward way...you will understand that more in this update maybe...don't be so impatient and trust me...

New friend...

Lily was busy…watching cartoon on TV…sitting in the center of the sofa…hugging a pillow….

Khushi thought about preparing some tea…for him…

It was difficult to go to him and give it but she has to pacify the atmosphere or it will be fire…cause of his anger…

She comes to him in the terrace, outside…while he was working on his laptop…

-tea?

She asked, putting already the cup in front of him…

-no!

He said without looking at her…

-why?

She asked but next second regretted…

But he finally looked at her, with his irresistible gaze…:

-because I don’t like it!

-but green tea is good for health!

She bitted her lower lip…seeing his eyes looking straight at her eyes….

-but why you’re carrying about my health? 

he asked huskily...making even her nose going red...

-because ...you carry about mine!

He looks at her…finally…she is speaking…he’s even challenging her eyes color of honey, but this time, she has all the courage to look at him and speak to him…even if she has to blush cutely...

Ar:-we are not supposed to care about each other!           

Kh:-yes…but we already did!

they are both thinking about that stupid deal, now...but Arnav was in another mood...he wanted just to tease her, to listen to what she has to say to him....

-what we did?

he asked...

-we…care about each other!

She answers confused…and She just leaves the tea there and walking away from there…leaving Arnav smirking…

She wasn’t ready for that…

She doesn’t stop saying to herself “he’s not mine” …and because she repeated to herself that so much, she’s not ready to receive from him what she’s receiving yesterday and today…

And because she’s used to the sadness those previous months…it was difficult to feel safe and somehow “loved”, those days, with Lily and him…

But the problem was that she knows that the little sweet moments that she’s living with him are like a mirage…she shouldn’t believe on it…and she won’t think too much…

The only sure source of happiness was her Lily, for now…

She comes back to her…kissed her forehead…

-I want to play, maa!

Lily said to her…

-come!

Both go to the front garden and its related to farm…there are some trees and Lily starts running all around…

And khushi walking there…controlling her…

-don’t run too fast!

She yelled…it was a chance to her to walk out and breath some fresh air…Lily picks some flowers and gives to her…and then runs away again…

-mum!!! come to look!

Lily shouted excited…

-ohhh a dog! Don’t touch it Lily!

-why?

-because we don’t know from where he’s? if he’s dirty or no! if he’s savage or no!

-mum, but he’s cute! Look!

-from where he’s?

Khushi asked herself but Lily answers her:

-he jutht come to me! He’s my friend!

Khushi smiles…

-maybe someone lost him here!

-poor dog!

Lily said pouting…

A cutie little dog was looking at them with a pity gaze…moving his head cutely…standing there, don’t moving looking at Lily and then at Khushi…

-he’s hungry!

-Milk! (lily said smartly)

-I can’t leave you here alone with him!

- I will go and bring milk, maa!

-No, we goanna go together! But…he will leave!

-I will bring milk maa, please, maa!

-no! Just stay!

Khushi looks at the cute puppy…he’s so small and looking at them…

-come we will go and bring milk if he’s still waiting for us means he liked us!

Lily nodded positively…

Both start to walk…the puppy following them…

Lily giggled…

Khushi also was amused…

-he’s so cute!

Now the puppy was inside the kitchen eating the milk Khushi gave to him in a little plate…

-don’t caress him, we are not sure he’s clean or not!

-but maa…

-my baby…I will touch first, ok?

-ok!

Khushi touched finally the baby dog who doesn’t move his head out of the milk…

-awiii…he’s so soft…I’m sure he get lost!

Lily touched also…

-he’s my friend, maa!

-so fast? Wait a little maybe he has already a friend!

-but maa!...I want him to be mine…

Lily pouted…

-me too my Lily…I loved him already…awwww…he’s cute…

Now the two of them where caressing him…

-I love him!

-I love him too!

Arnav was listening to that…he couldn’t believe his ears…if she loves him why to say so to Lily…why she can’t confess to him, that…but…she loves him already?? Means…what it means??? Oh God…but any way she couldn’t say that to Lily…Arnav gets tensed…

He gets inside the kitchen to see a puppy playing with them jumping cutely…before their shining eyes and irresistible smiles…

Arnav: -A dog?!

He asked and both of them look at him…

-yeh…Paa…Paa…can we keep him?

Arnav looks at the dog…

-from where did you get it?

-outside!

Khushi replies…

For the first time, they heard the little barking of the dog towards Arnav…

-it’s ok Thushi (Sushi)…it’s ok…he’s my paa, naa…you don’t have to worry…

Yes, they decided to call him “Sushi” as Khushi was wishing if she had a little puppy or kitty she will call it this way…

-but…

-Paa!

He saw how both are kneeling on the floor beside him but he hates to keep little things like that along with him in same house:

-Lily! I don’t want to keep this here, so better, he leave from here!

If he calms down Lily’s excitement…there is also Khushi’s excitement …he looks at them silently… both disappointed…with puppy faces…

-Paa (lily pouting)

Khushi stands up, looking at her Lily all sad, she walks towards Arnav…

-Please…

She said taking a deep breath…

-please, let us keep Sushi…

-haa paa…please paa…

Somehow Arnav was enjoying there “please” but…he hates keeping animals in house…he hates all what can keep a mess in the house or else, he will said yes easily to them…and he will bring every cute puppy in this world to just satisfy those eyes staring at him…

To not get impressed by them…he just get out of the kitchen…he can’t anymore behave against his wants and values…he spoiled them a lot, already…

Khushi looked at Lily…

-it’s ok, now, stay with Sushi, I’m coming back…

Arnav entering the room…wanting to relax a little…but he don’t know that khushi is following him…she’s walking fast to reach him…

khushi:-Please say yes!

She said little out loud…he turns towards her, little surprised…and without wanting to…he hits her, she was walking just behind him that's why…

he’s surprised…she’s shocked…she tried to pull back…whispering “sorry” but unconsciously or consciously, his hands encircle her slim waist, crushing her body to him, giving new sensations, even different from this morning…his touch was more firm, more powerful…she gasped as it was too much to handle for her…

-Ar…naa..vji…

-what?

-I…

-what do you want? I’m listening!

-the…puppy…is little…and need us…

She said looking finally up to him…feeling his hands on her bare waist…she looks down again…trying to control the situation…and her trouble...

kh:-please…I never…ask something like this of you!

She’s desperate…

Cutely desperate…

He likes that…no!

He loves that!

But he keeps looking at her all serious and silent…while it felt so right to have her like this in his arms, he gets used and he prefers to have her always like this…

-Please, I mean for Lily only…she loved him…

Damn it…she’s…making his heart weak the more…he’s even feeling his heart little paining seeing her…but his mind was thinking about this morning and how he missed kissing her…he looks at her shivered rose lips…

-I’m not used to the uncompleted tasks!

He said devouring her beautiful face with his eyes… she looks up to him, straight at his eyes….

What?…she can’t understand…she’s dumb…shivering in his hands… he has to push her more into him…he has to protect her from him…yes…but…

Desire darkening his eyes the more and the feel of her looking at him like that with bit of scare, bit of challenge and bit off shock with all that beauty was something he can’t resist…

-uncompleted tasks…

She said little bit scared… repeating his words…

-hmm

He confirms that…breathing right on her face, taking her part of oxygen…he knows he’s rough, egoist when it comes to her but here he’s feeling like it’s his right to claim her this way, to hug her this way, to kiss those lips…she is…after all…before God, family and all the world…his legal wife…

Arnav: -you’re m…

he closes his eyes...fighting to tell her something... fighting the desire to kiss her...

-Paa…shushi wants to tell you a thing!

Lily looks at them…

She’s inside the room…

She looks at her maa and paa like that but she wasn’t shocked…like it was natural for her or maybe because she was so busy wanting to convince her paa…

Khushi wanted to push him, all shocked but Arnav leaves her gently… looking now at his daughter…

Lily advanced towards them:

-come on shushi, tell paa…

Lily kneeled to caress the puppy…

And the puppy makes like some light sounds like he was for real begging Arnav…

Arnav retains a smile…Khushi noticed that…

-Please!

She said whispering…for the last time…

-First, we should bring a veterinary, to be sure…

He said firmly…

Khushi smiles all happy…means it’s a “yes”…

Khushi:-yes!

Lily:-paa, it’s ok?

Arnav nodded…and Lily starts giggling…running to him…the puppy following…he loved already his new adoptive family…

Lily comes to him…hugged him tight…kisses all over his face…

-Paa…you’re betht paa ever…

 Khushi looks at them, not forgetting their second missed kiss…

But for now she was all happy too…

Arnav calls Aman so fast to bring a veterinary with him…

Now Lily playing with her new friend in the garden and Khushi making some coffee and some snacks to Lily, Arnav and also Aman who stays for a little work with Arnav…after the veterinary examine the dog and left…

Now…

Lily and sushi are playing in the garden…

Arnav and Aman are also installed not far away, they are in the terrace…

Outside, all seems perfect…the weather was also perfect; a soft breeze making khushi feels happy…without a reason…

She comes with coffee and a huge plate where she prepares little yummy things to eat…

Arnav eyes looking at her…

It looks like one of those dreamy scenes where all seems perfectly beautiful…

Her…

Her hair flying little bit by the breeze…

Her carrying for him…

She brings those, like she’s feeling he’s hungry while he has to work…

The giggles of Lily playing…

Arnav smiles lightly…

And…Khushi was blushing furiously…

It’s alright if he looks at her when they are alone but with this Aman here…

She’s feeling so confused…

But Aman attacks already the plate; she poses on the table…

Kh:-I’m thinking it’s good to eat something while you’re working!

She said with her soft voice, making Arnav lose himself in her the more…

She looks at Arnav…stealing some gazes towards him…

Aman:-woow thanks! It’s amazing…it’s nice! I love this! Thank you madam!

Kh:-you can call me Khushi!

Aman nodded smiling…

Arnav looks at him giving an angry look…

-no, Mrs Raizada…you call her so!

He looks at Khushi....

But she looks down and leaves them towards her Lily and Sushi…

She doesn’t know if she should trust this happiness…follows that ray of sunshine or be careful and don’t believe on it…

Living her day without thinking of tomorrow…

Or living with that fear of tomorrow…

She looks at her Lily…

She calls her and hugs her tight…

Lily:-I love you too!

She said smiling, breathing hard because she was running with Sushi…all happy…

Khushi gets an idea, suddenly...looking at the water hose, used for watering the plants…

-let’s wash Sushi!

She said taking the horse in her hand…

Arnav hearing giggles…of Lily but also of Khushi now…

Aman cleared his throat…looking at his boss…bothered with dreamy eyes…in some other word…

Arnav couldn’t see much as between the terrace and the garden there are so much plants and trees…but he wants to see what’s going on in there…

He looks at Aman:

Arnav:-will continue in the office tomorrow! Enough for now!

He stands up…

Aman knows his boss well so he doesn’t waste so much time, he disappeared from there…he knows that his boss wants and needs to share some good moments with his family, alone…so, he leaves from there discretely…

Arnav comes to them…

He was numb seeing them all wet…

From head to bottom, they were playing with water…

-what the…

He only success to said looking at them…

When Khushi…all shocked with the hose in her hands…she turns suddenly…to wet all of him with water accidently…

With the fear and choc…she keeps pointing the garden hose towards him…water wetting his shirt, pants, shoes, hair…all over him…

And he was angry at first and shocked at the contact of cold water on him…but then…

Her trouble makes him forget about that…

Lily was already giggling at that…

While Khushi throws the hose on the floor…shivering before him the more…
